We are a Christ-centered, welcoming and inclusive faith community, committed to following the teachings of Jesus, and sharing the message of the Gospel.
As people of the Christian faith, we believe in a loving God and in Jesus Christ. We do our best to love God with all of our heart, our mind, and our soul, and work to love our neighbors as ourselves.
In our church, Jesus Christ is recognized as fully human, and fully God, Son of the Creator, Savior, and Head of the Church.
We believe that the Bible is inspired by God. We do not, however, believe that the Bible is inerrant.
As a faith community in the United Church of Christ, we celebrate two sacraments: Baptism and Holy Communion (The Lord's Supper). It is our belief that the Sacraments are "our ritual acts in worship when the Holy Spirit uses water, bread, and wine to make visible grace, forgiveness and presence of God in Christ."
Tell me about Communion:
Communion brings us together to remember the sacrifice that Jesus made for us. In our church, Communion is served on the first Sunday of the month, as well as "special days" throughout the church year, such as Ash Wednesday and Maundy Thursday. All people of faith are welcome to participate in the sacrament of Communion.
Who can be Baptized?
Baptism is the church community's promise to "love, support and care" for the one being baptized. Infants, children and adults can be baptized. Our sacrament of Baptism is done by the sprinkling of water. Baptisms are done through prior arrangement with the Pastor.
What about Weddings?
In the UCC, weddings are a rite of the church, not a sacrament. Anyone can be married at our church, with the discretion of the Pastor. If you would like to be married in our church, please reach out to our office to begin the conversation.
Do you offer Funeral and/or Memorial Services?
We offer both services. Please reach out to our office for more information.
Advent is a four-week season in the Church calendar dedicated to anticipating the arrival, or "advent," of Jesus of Nazareth, the long-awaited Messiah and King.
We have so many fun activities at UCC this month. You're invited to join us!
